Joe Johnson, KC9HDV, passed away last week. The funeral was today. He’s a great man and I had the privilege of talking to him both on the air and in person for many years.
I conducted the special prayer service called “The Office of the Dead” this afternoon. This is a form of prayer we use in the monastery, consisting of Psalms and other Scripture readings.
“We do not loose heart, because our inner being is renewed each day even though our body is being destroyed at the same time. The present burden of our trial is light enough, and earns us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. We do not fix our gaze on what is seen but what is unseen. What is seen is transitory; what is unseen lasts forever”
… From Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians
Rest in Peace Joe!
